About Us
United Colors of Dance is a professional Latin and Ballroom Dance Company of nonprofit status, dedicated to providing performance and training opportunities for dance professionals while empowering youth with education in dance, cultural education, and the performing arts at schools. Founded by acclaimed choreographer Louis van Amstel and arts leader Rebecca Sweet, United Colors of Dance provides accessible programs, school residencies, performances, and mentorship opportunities that inspire creativity, confidence, and connection. Through partnerships with schools and community organizations, the nonprofit uses dance as a tool for self-expression, inclusion, and positive social impact, helping young people discover their potential both on and off the dance floor.
